<p class="Stil1">the idea that we live exclusively in one reality derives from the enlightenment. since then many persons accept only as real what is material and what can be measured. for many european (or american) persons it is often hard to image other worlds although historically the ideas of the enlightenment have merely determined this european worldview since about 10 generations (300-400 years). in christian religions remain some traces of former worldviews and some persons still have experience with other realities, e.g. those who can talk to angles. in nearly all other traditional cultures other realities are part of everyday life. here persons generally perceive and anticipate various realities. </p>
<p class="Stil1">according to this perception there is no hierarchy between different realities. they merge time and space. shamans talk about these different worlds while for persons who are used to science the metaphors of levels of energy or perhaps frequency of invisible waves make them more acceptable. take for example radio waves. all sorts of frequency waves, which are broadcast from radio stations, surround us permanently. our senses are unable to access them without artificial aid, i.e. we need a radio in order to understand the signal. and we hear different programmes depending on which frequency we turn the receiver while simultaneously there is a host of other signals we might also be listening to wherever we are. </p>
<p class="Stil1">if we imagine that we were trying to listen to all radio programmes simultaneously we comprehend that it makes perfect sense that our perception is restricted to what information we can actually process: we are not able to process all input at the same time. we need to reduce the complexity of our environment. this does not mean that we should reduce our "listening" to the same frequency or one programme only. most ancient cultures have found means to change our perception in such ways that we are able to enter these other worlds. for the stick divination it does not matter whether the client believes in one other or several perhaps overlapping other worlds.</p>
